In this week’s season finale of Glee, New Directions travels to New York City to try to capture the National title. But, instead of writing their original songs, the kids head to the streets to discover all of the glamour that the city has to offer.

After breaking up with Quinn last episode, Finn realizes he wants to get back together with Rachel. He takes her on their own version of a kisses Rachel right on stage.

Finally in New York City, Rachel and Kurt begin to feel at home. Both have big dreams of making it on Broadway, and promise to head to NYC for college once high school is over. Kurt says Blaine has even agreed to them! Rachel and Kurt go to Broadway and sneak onto the stage where Wicked – one of their favorite musicals – is performed. Luckily, a nice usher lets them go on stage and sing their own rendition of ‘For Good’.

Throughout the whole episode New Directions is supposed to be writing original songs for Nationals, but they keep getting distracted. Upset about Finn, Quinn gets a new haircut; trying to pursue his own Broadway dreams, Mr. Schu considers auditioning for a musical; and Mercedes and Sam strike up a secret romance. This lack of hard work is evident at Nationals when the glee club ends up finishing in 12th place.
